چکیده
•If a mini-implant borne expander is used, dental side effects in terms of tipping teeth can be avoided.•A pre-fabricated allows single appointment for insertion mini-implants and the expander.•The use also reasonable since left place as skeletal retainer during aligner finishing. Bone-borne rapid maxillary expansion distraction devices are used to achieve more avoid conventional expanders such anchorage teeth. In this article, we report prefabricated fixed on 2 anterior palate. This occur without need an impression or any laboratory procedures. Especially when aligners going mini-implant-borne seems because Maxillary transverse deficiency common orthodontic problem, it often associated with unilateral bilateral posterior crossbite. Bone-Borne Maxillary Expansion and Traditional Rapid Maxillary Expansion: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Introduction: The aim of this study was to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the effect of bone-borne expansion (BBE) and tooth-borne expansion (TBE) in patients with maxillary constriction. Methods: Electronic databases, including MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, were searched up to February 2019. Elig...
متن کاملAssessment of vertical changes during maxillary expansion using quad helix or bonded rapid maxillary expander.
OBJECTIVE To determine if there is a significantly different effect on vertical changes during phase I palatal expansion treatment using a quad helix and a bonded rapid maxillary expander in growing skeletal Class I and Class II patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS This retrospective study looked at 2 treatment groups, a quad helix group and a bonded rapid maxillary expander group, before treatmen...
متن کاملMini-implant-borne Pendulum B appliance for maxillary molar distalisation: design and clinical procedure.
A treatment objective of upper molar distalisation may often be required during the correction of a malocclusion. Distalisation is not only indicated for the management of Class II patients, but also for Class III surgery patients who require decompensation in the upper arch if upper incisor retrusion is needed. Unfortunately, most conventional intra-oral devices for non-compliance maxillary mo...
متن کاملThe efficacy of maxillary protraction protocols with the micro-implant-assisted rapid palatal expander (MARPE) and the novel N2 mini-implant—a finite element study
BACKGROUND Maxillary protraction with the novel N2 mini-implant- and micro-implant-assisted rapid palatal expander (MARPE) can potentially provide significant skeletal effects without surgery, even in older patients where conventional facemask therapy has limited skeletal effects. However, the skeletal effects of altering the location and direction of force from mini-implant-assisted maxillary ...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of An Automated Rapid Maxillary Expander (ARME)
An Automated Rapid Maxillary Expander (ARME), is a specially designed orthodontic appliance to overcome the shortcomings imposed by the traditional butterfly expansion appliance. It operates by automatically widening the maxilla (upper jaw) by expanding the midpalatal suture [1]. This procedure is not feasible after late teenage years due to more rigid facial skeleton features. According to the...
